As we begin this new year, I need to do a self check and see if I am in tune with God and my family, friends and others… If I am NOT in tune I will find that my relational circuits are off and I am not very well connected to God or anyone else. I will find that I am operating from a Fear base in most everything I do. Jesus will seem distant and irrelevant to most of the situations in my life. I will be going my own way with my own ideas, struggling to make life work. …. So, in order to turn all this around, what do I need to do?
First off, I need to get my relational circuits (RCs) back on! I will want to be connecting with God and with all those around me! I will be open to the connection to Jesus who walks with me and to all those He brings my way and allows to come my way. I will be appreciative and thankful for all He is doing.
Secondly, I will be operating out of a Love base with everyone and in everything I do and say! Do I plan in a loving way towards everyone? Do I daily show love to God by doing what He asks of me? Do I forgive the hurt and show love to all who offend me, will offend me in the future, or who have offended me in the past? Do I truly love as Jesus would love and in the way He loves me?….. The answer to all this is YES, if I am operating from a Love base!
Thirdly, as I follow Jesus in everything I find that I am listening to Him and able to attune to His thoughts and see what He is doing in my life and in the lives of those around me. I interact with Emanuel because God is with me! As I mature I have mind-sight into others, God-sight into what God is seeing and doing, and a developing mutual-mind state that allows me to think God thoughts in ways that I understand.
As I tune up for the new year and new season, I find myself at peace and with the joy of knowing that Jesus is always with me through His Holy Spirit! Shalom!
