As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at our Lord’s return …. Violence will be rampant … Fear will be pervasive …. Men will be lovers of pleasure and not lovers of God …. God will preserve a minority consisting of those who love and follow Him …. Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God. Gen.6:9
Wow …. Sounds like our times. Except that there are more than just one righteous person living on this earth. Chances are you are one of them! So are we supposed to just sit back and see what happens? Actually, NO. Noah was instructed to build a boat that took him about 100 years to build. I am actually told to observe the times so that I can be active in preserving as many people as possible. Jonah got into big trouble by trying to avoid being active in preserving as many people as possible from the city of Nineveh. When he finally decided to obey, the entire city was rescued from destruction and that generation was preserved.
In this big picture of God at work, we see Him working with nations, regions, cities, and peoples. He is actually working in my country and with my people. It is clearly shown in scripture that He actually works through leaders, kings, and presidents, who are not totally righteous. His Holy Spirit exposes the darkness in me and my people so that we can repent and then actively bring the freedom of this new life to others and to our nation. God’s Spirit is working in and with our nation now. We are writing our own history. I want to see our history as God would like to see it. I am body, soul, and spirit and I must be active in all three areas. So, I get off my easy chair and actively get out there, genuinely loving all those around me, and earnestly pray in the Spirit, contending that God’s will be done as He sees fit.!! Not my will, but Yours be done. Be it unto us according to Your Word!! My Your blessings fall upon us and our nation as we actively walk with You!!
