How did I mature relationally? This has been a long and often scary and painful journey for me. It has not been quick and easy. I am sharing with you some key individual steps that freed me to be able to mature from an infant and child to a parent and elder. No, I’m not there yet. I fill in one missing piece or hole in my maturity at a time. I continually see new maturity traits emerging from my life struggles. This meditation is number 6 in a series.
Key number 6: As I became a relationally mature “parent”, I began to see myself as one who carries life. I bring life to everyone and to everything, every day. Jesus came to bring me abundant life! Not to point out my short comings.
While living as a child in the law, I often brought destruction and death to relationships. Putting people down or beating them up all feels the same ….. more pain …. more despair …..
Life brings hope which fosters more hope and brings more life and joy. Life is like drinking cool living water from a bubbling spring!
