“God has chosen us for His own! … so God is for us! …This is wonderful! … Having chosen me He calls me to follow him with all my heart. He then gives me right standing with Him and covers me with His glory! … So I shouldn’t condemn or pick on others for it is the Holy Spirit who is helping each one of us in our weaknesses and He continually talks to God about our status and what is good for us at that point and time of our life. Because nothing can separate me from Christ’s love for me! …
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love Him and have said yes to His call to me and am willing to follow His purposes for me. This doesn’t mean that everything will be rosy, easy, or pain free. But, despite all the hardships, I have overwhelming victory through Christ Jesus who loves me sooo much! And nothing can separate me from that love that He has for me!” Rom.8:26-39
So, what are these purposes that He has for me? Part of it involves who I am and how He has created me to be (my identity). Obviously it is not all going to be easy. These purposes involve both me and others around me. So a big part of my commitment to Him is willingly following His purposes for me in the big picture that He sees! This is actually a call to maturing relationally so that I become a “parent” who can nurture those around me.
