Is it better to learn? OR Is it better to love? “If someone thinks he knows something, he does not yet know to the degree that he needs to know. Thinking that I know puffs up. However, love builds up. If I Love God, God knows me and loves me and builds me up!” 1Cor.8:1b,2,3
It is better to learn, know, and love! Otherwise, all my learning and knowing is useless.
A child or narcissist would say “I can only love you to the extent of how lovable you are; the more I get to know about you, the less I will love you or I may not love you at all. I am entitled to love and you aren’t loving me like I should be loved.” While a relationally mature parent would say; I love you because of who I am. And since I love you, I build you up! I call you into maturity!” God loves us that way and He knows us,…. all about us, and He has the capacity to love us in spite of all He knows. The more unlovable, the more love is required. “Love overcomes and covers a multitude of sins (unloveliness and malfunctions).”
What should I “know” about you? (and me) ….. I know you are alive spiritually …… I know you have traumas and BEEPS ……. I know you are a child, or an adult, or a parent, or an infant Relationally …….. I know you have a good heart …… What I “know” about you (and me) determines How I love you …… NOT If I love you …..
To know, know, know, you …… Is to love, love, love you …… And I do, yes I do, yes I do …… Love is the practical, practicing side of all my learning and knowing. Soo, How am I doing Jesus?
