This world is my training ground. It is my preparation place for the real everlasting life and place that is to come. It doesn’t really matter where I am born or what the status is of my family of origin. It just means that my training ground and my course on this planet is different than yours. So you run and train on your course and I run and train on mine. We are told that our training will be tough and rough, often filled with pain. We are also told to share our training stories with each other, and in so doing we comfort and encourage each other.
There is one thing we all have in common: That one thing became the One Person who is here available to run this rough, often painful, training course with us. As I choose Jesus to be with and in me; we run this training course together!
“Because you are precious and honored in my eyes, and I myself love you, Because I am the Lord your God, … your Savior; Do not be afraid, because I am with you. Do not be afraid, because I have redeemed you. I have called you by name. You are mine. When you cross through the waters, I will be with you. When you cross the rivers, they will not sweep you away. When you walk through fire, you will not be burned, and the flame will not set you on fire.” Isaiah43:5,4,3,1,2
