Jesus came to earth looking for who? And what did He find? One of the strengths of children is that they can do it themselves. “I don’t need help, I can do it by my self. I will take the lead and show you. A relational level mature child will want to lead! They will get on their horse and ride excitedly off in all directions! Since we are a nation and world full of RM (relationally mature) “children” we are continually asking; Which way should I go? What should I do? How should I do this?
So, sure enough, Jesus found His leaders who were dashing around in all directions! But, the words that came out of Jesus mouth weren’t “Come lead Me.” ….. No …. The words that came from His mouth were; …..“Come Follow Me.”….. But, children don’t want to follow, so few followed Him. A lot of “children” came around, but few followed Him and went back to dashing excitedly about in all directions.
I am learning the lost art of following. It requires continual contact with Him and continual conversation with Him. It requires doing life with Him. My days now go; Good morning, I’m here with You, I love You! What are we doing today? And, how are we doing it? I’m your apprentice and am learning from You! What and how do You see people and things we will encounter? Am I watching You do things today? Am I helping too? Did I do a good job today? I am here to follow You and to walk in Your footsteps and do how You do in all situations. Jesus came looking for followers; and He found me! I have decided to follow You Jesus! Hey guys, I have decided to Follow Jesus! Come join me! No turning back!
